Run Away Renee How it pains us so deeply when we see you two And the amount of cruelty he puts you through He can be so abusive how do you not see? That’s not the way a partner is supposed to be Just run away Rene Don’t stick around for one more day No one can fathom why you stay Just run away Rene Your ex was a disaster, but this one is worse The way he stares at all women is so perverse Just run away Rene Don’t stick around for one more day How does he hold you in his sway? Just run away Rene Don’t stick around for one more day We’re certain that once more he’ll stray Just run away Rene People never change so give up the dream that you’ll change him If you stay around life’s guaranteed to remain grim Just run away Rene Don’t stick around for one more day When we’re all out he makes you pay Just run away Rene Don’t stick around for one more day We can not watch this poor display Just run away Rene

A Little Bit Of Rosie She knows a lot of people, but no one really knows her She owes nobody and nobody owes her Those sharing time with her, they will only get a small dose She keeps her distance so no one gets too close People start okay, but at some point they get too nosy So you will only get a little bit of Rosie She won’t warm to you, don’t ever think you’ll get too cosy You will only get a little bit of Rosie She checks in here and there so some people think she might care She will remain aloof and will not share You won’t see her run, the most that she will do is mosey You will only get a little bit of Rosie She will remain a mystery She’ll be your friend, but sisterly She’s in the cast, but not the star She might be seen, but from afar You’ll only get a sample size And most that you see is a disguise You'll only get a little bit of Rosie

Christine Sixty There’s no way anybody’s guessing your age Your coolness and your beauty won’t disengage Those younger women you continue to upstage I bet you’re hearing comments everyday With many references to Dorian Gray But if you think they ever read that book, no way Christine Sixty, Christine Sixty I googled “timeless”, there’s a picture of you Most people think that you’re about 32 The date of birth that’s on your license can’t be true Christine Sixty, Christine Sixty Christine Sixty, Christine Sixty Your old clothes still fit You haven’t changed a bit I’ve been waiting to be by your side for three decades or more And if I have to I will wait for several more Christine Sixty, Christine Sixty Christine Sixty, Christine Sixty Although you won't admit You haven’t changed a bit

Help You Ronda I’m not saying you’re someone who needs to be saved But I want to make up for how others behaved You are fearing to tell me what I already know And I won’t run away when the tears start to flow I wish I could help you Ronda, oh I long to help you Ronda I wish I could help you Ronda, oh I long to help you Ronda You have trouble believing that I have such belief I am someone who can offer relief I wish I could help you Ronda, oh I long to help you Ronda I wish I could help you Ronda, oh I long to help you Ronda You just have to ask I’ll try to be up for the task You say you’re not who I think you are But I don’t think you know who you are either I’d give you my time and all my heart But I know that you will accept neither I am fearing to tell you what I’m wanting to say Since I know it will sound like some old cliche I wish I could help you Ronda, oh I long to help you Ronda I wish I could help you Ronda, ohI long to help you Ronda You just have to ask I hope I’ll be up for the task I wish I could help you Ronda

Mean Caroline She is known as Miss Unpleasant by everyone at work It is not hard not to smile, the best she will do is smirk Kindness is an act that no one will respect Everything she’s offered she will plain reject If a dominatrix, she gets told she would be the best In that silly leatherwear, there’s no way she would be dressed That old kiss hello is what she cannot stand You’d be dumb to think that she’d ever shake your hand Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? She says being humorless is so much fun And nobody hopes that you'll be the thoughtful one Being such a goody goody was no good for her Since this new persona things have gone as they should for her Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? Hurting people’s feelings she will use as fuel She’ll keep rubbing bronzer on your golden rule No one dares approach her, that is one neat part No one ever calls her “baby” or “sweetheart” Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? Have you seen mean Caroline? People want to be well-liked by everyone That is one objective she will always shun Have you seen mean Caroline?

All The Girls Hate Alice Loveliness can bring out ugliness in others They will bad mouth Alice to their dads and brothers It’s not hard to see why all the boys do love her The better that you know her the more you love her All The Girls Hate Alice Because of how lovable she is Her heart’s as big as Dallas And it’s no affectation when she says, “Gee whiz” Kelly LeBrock was in a commercial of Pantene’s She said, “Don’t hate me cause I’m beautiful” and Alice knows what she means All the girls hate Alice "Cause she is someone no one can despise She has no ounce of malice All these would be friends can’t find a compromise They all claim to hate her, but would love to be her They have seen the outcome when the people see her All the girls hate Alice

Go to Sleep Little Susie How are you so wide awake? Say goodnight for goodness sake Your bedtime has long since passed Mine is now approaching fast Go to sleep, Go to sleep little Susie I am yawning more than you You might stay up until two Should I learn a lullaby? I’ve run out of things to try Go to sleep, go to sleep little Susie I’m not your papa, that’s true But there’s something to tell your mama I can’t say in front of you There’s no school tomorrow, so there goes that excuse Did somebody put caffeine in your juice? We spent the whole day at the zoo Hoping it would tire you Go to sleep, go to sleep little Susie

Sheena Is A Prog Rocker Sheena thinks Punk’s too dumb and folk is way too simple for her taste All of those arena bands sounding all the same is such a waste Her friends love ELO, but she’s way more into ELP She won’t say no to YES, but just their records from the seventies Sheena is a prog rocker Sheena is a prog rocker Give her some Camel Some Peter Hammill Sheena loves Genesis, but only until Peter Gabriel quits Her friends don’t understand, they all much prefer the later hits Sheena is a prog rocker Sheena is a prog rocker Her friends will nag her ‘Cause she loves Magma When Crimson comes to town, she’s there The fans won’t talk to her, but they all stare Seems like there’s no men coming forth Who may have heard of Hatfield and The North Sheena is a prog rocker

See Emily Work Each morning of the week he goes to Coffee Fair The coffee’s not so good, but that’s not why he’s there He’s in by 9am to grab his favorite chair It faces Emily so it’s not hard to stare He loves the way she is with customers She cheers them up with that kind way of hers How he loves to see Emily work, Emily work, Emily work When he walks through the door she always says hello And what it does for him she will not ever know He brings a book with him he seldom reads To share a room with her is all he needs How he loves to see Emily work, Emily work, Emily work When she has a day off He is thrown way off He wonders how long will she stay off When she has a day off He is thrown way off But when she returns that is the pay off The rudest customers, she gets more than her share He wants to step in but she doesn’t seem to care When it gets busy she’s still in control He can tell she is a special soul How he loves to see Emily work, Emily work, Emily work

Alone Comes Mary Observing her left hand and finger number three A ring encircling it is what you won’t see A party’s being thrown, the final list is done There is a name of there that won’t need a plus one Alone comes Mary, alone comes Mary Alone comes Mary, alone comes Mary Being by yourself is not a crime And she always seems to have the best time Achieving spinsterhood has been her lifelong goal Why should she share her life with some complete asshole Alone comes Mary, alone comes Mary Alone comes Mary, alone comes Mary She enjoys when she’s wheel number three And she calls herself ‘the spare”, but sparingly The idea of someone using half your bed truly disgusts her But she kind of likes the fact that all her friends love to discuss her Alone comes Mary, alone comes Mary

about

The Other Women came about from a confidential social experiment John Dunbar of The John Sally Ride has been conducting over the years. Upon meeting a woman whose name is associated with an iconic song, he inquires about their opinion of that particular tune. He is met with an identical response each time. They detest them. Most of them laying the blame on the constant, cliched response of people breaking into the song's chorus upon learning their name. John decided to give himself a musical challenge. Write new songs using those names in the title, but with a contrasting theme. The objective being to give the sufferers another musical option, or an additional song to loathe

You’ll meet Renee who is being told to run away from her current unsuitable partner.
You’ll hear about Christine Sixty who continually upstages younger women, and the man who has been waiting to be by her side for three decades.
You’ll learn about Mean Caroline who discovered that being a goody goody was no good for her.
You’ll hear about Rosie who will remain a mystery, and be your friend, but not sisterly, so you only get a little bit of her.
You’ll relate to the pleads for Little Susie to go to sleep.
You’ll encounter Sheena who thinks punk is too dumb so she is a Prog rocker.

Dunbar apprehensively presented the song cycle premise to the other members of the John Sally Ride with a fear they might find it too gimmicky. To his delight he was met with “Let’s do it.”
But a funny thing happened on the way to record the album, scheduling, timing, logistics, reconsiderations and one member deciding to part from the party, led to delays upon delays. While waiting for the issues to be resolved, Dunbar released a second Elvis Eno album titled Unwittingly.
After finishing the record, things still hung in the balance.
John starting getting restless so he decided to go into the band’s beloved studio, Soundtronics, and finish the album by himself, with the band’s blessing.
John is staunchly anti-acronym and never liked when people referred to The John Sally Ride as JSR. Yet, he is putting this album out under the JSR moniker since it was an intended John Sally Ride album, but this time the acronym can stand for John’s Solitary Ridiculousness, John’s Solo Release, John’s Silly Reasoning, whatever seems appropriate.

Each time John Dunbar put out a new solo album he first played it for his close friend, and fave drummer, Sal Nunziato, He always hoped Sal would ask to play on the next record. Each time Sal heard a new Dunbar record, he wondered why he was never asked to play on it. They both always dreamed of playing with mutual friend, Sal Maida. After the unspoken was spoken, The John Sally Ride was formed. ... more
